About Me

Newly fledged veg grower, meadow maker, compost creator and wildlife discoverer…

I’m Sally, and I’m lucky enough to live in a big old Victorian farmhouse, with a big old garden. Its proper name is Langdon Court, but we like just Langdon, for short. We’re near the beautiful market town of Faversham in south east England, and we are me, Sally, my partner Brian, my daughter Saskia and our cat Jinx.

I moved to Langdon in 2017, and the responsibility of looking after a garden like this and all the wildlife for which it is also home, has become a fascinating, all-consuming adventure for me. I care deeply about the plight of our planet, and so I want to do everything I can in this little piece of England to regenerate the soil, the plants, the trees, to create a much-needed haven for wildlife.

And I want to share it with people too – to learn from more experienced readers than me, and maybe give a few ideas and a bit of inspiration to other beginners. I welcome you to read and I would love you hear your comments.

In 2018 I founded community environmental organisation Plastic Free Faversham. Visit our website to find out more.
